 The main deliverables of our work are national and European technical approvals for materials, products and systems. Whereas European technical approvals (ETA) are strictly limited to the regulatory environment and European directive 89/106/EEC, the national technical approvals (ATG) are voluntary assessments, covering both regulated and other characteristics, demonstrating the fitness for the intended use. As a rule, national technical approvals require certification according to ISO system 5, performed by certification bodies assigned by the UBAtc, while conformity assessment for European technical approvals corresponds with the systems laid down in European Commission Decisions, where relevant performed by third parties recognized by their member state and notified under article 18 of directive 89/106/EEC.
